Freshly Baked by Le Bijoux

Shopping, eating out and watching movies are perhaps the 3 most done activities in Singapore on weekends I think. Besides Singapore has so many cuisines and food outlets (they may not be as authentic as something is traditionally supposed to be but at least choices are available) that a cab driver once told me “wherever you go here in Singapore you will never go hungry” . Funny driver πŸ™‚ So it is no wonder that come weekend and people are out on brunches, lunches, teas – basically trying out all kinds of food outside.

I really don’t mind the cheapest of all places as long as it is good quality food and good value for money. Hence “Freshly Baked by Le Bijoux” features on my list of “good-weekend-brunch-places” and “good-places-to-eat-when-around-somerset-road” – It uses quality fresh ingredients, baked daily and value for money food. No frills and fancies – keep it simple, keep it tasty and that is how food should be.

I have never tried their brunches since I do not eat ham or any form of pork and all 4 of the brunch menus come with pork:

However they do have a lovely range of breads, sandwiches, cakes, coffees – the usual bakery cafe place. The atmosphere is chilled out. I have had lunch a couple of times on weekends. This time we had the grilled chicken sandwich, smoked salmon sandwich and moist chocolate cake. Really good. I do not have anything to complain about this:
